You’re Not Lost You’re Just Following the Wrong Blueprint

You weren’t lost just following the wrong map; now build your life around purpose, not society’s expectations.

“Culture is a mass hallucination, and when you step outside the mass hallucination, you see it for what it’s worth”-Terence Mckenna

When we were born, our minds were like blank slates open, absorbing everything like a sponge.

As we grew older, we began to recognize our names and the people around us.

Society’s systems were quietly programmed into us to shape our minds before we even knew we had one.

Education was designed by governments to produce workers who serve the system not to nurture individual Interests.

This is not education. Education is discovery. it’s about stepping into the unknown & falling into the rabbit hole of interest

If you know how the mind works, you’ll realize that learning even one wrong thing can corrupt your entire way of thinking.

Mind will clarify itself when you step into the unknown & explore your interest.

Solution is to find you why.

“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”— Mark Twain

Whenever I used to visit any book store I always used to see Simon Sinek Start with your why book.

“Start With Why” is a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller, with over a million copies sold worldwide.

This book shares a powerful message on how knowing your life’s purpose shapes everything you do.

Why is the reason of:

  • Why do you get out of bed in the morning?
  • Why do you do what you do?
  • Why should anyone care?

It’s the reason Why that help us position ourself different from others.

There are 8.2 billion people on earth. There is a reason why some people get more attention than others.

99% of them are wrong when they say their purpose is to make money.

These people are the top 1% of the population who know their purpose.

That’s why they can position themselves differently from others.

I still remember the first day when I joined my family business, It was just another clothing brand just like everyone else.

But some brands stand out from the crowd because they know who they are. Their positioning is so good and memorable.

A brand’s purpose helps marketers position the brand around what it’s really about.

You can see their purpose in the channels they choose to get their message across.

Escape from the Culture Trap

“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else, means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.”-E.E. Cummings:

When we understand what a brand’s name really means, we feel happy that we get the brand.

Brand sticks in our mind because their positioning is clear they know their “why.

They put alot of efforts to know more about the brand:

  • Tone
  • Story
  • Vision
  • Mission
  • Purpose
  • Promise
  • Positioning
  • Writing Style
  • Word Choice
  • Brand Personality
  • Audience Connection
  • Core Beliefs and Values

In short, it takes time to develop a good brand narrative

But there’s a cheat code that we can use to know our brand’s why

If we don’t decide our narrative, we’ll just be another brand lost in the noise.

So lets get’s the main point of this how to find your why?
